Cookie Policy

One session cookie and one local-storage flag. No advertising, no analytics, no third-party tags.

Last updated: 2 September 2026

The left column is the policy. The right column says the same thing plainly and is there to be read, not to replace the clause; where the two could be read as differing, the clause on the left governs.

1

Why there is no consent banner

A consent banner exists to obtain permission for cookies that are not strictly necessary — advertising, analytics, personalisation. This site sets none of those, so there is nothing to ask you about.

You get a short notice on your first visit telling you what is set. That notice is information, not a request, and dismissing it is not consent to anything.

2

Everything this site stores

2.1

Session cookie

Set only after you sign in. It identifies your signed-in session so pages in your account know who you are. It is HTTP-only, marked Secure and SameSite, and it expires when the session ends or when you sign out.

Without it, an account cannot work at all. It is strictly necessary and is exempt from consent requirements.

2.2

A dismissal flag in local storage

When you dismiss the cookie notice, a single value is written to your browser's local storage so the notice does not reappear on every page. It holds no identifier and it is deliberately not a cookie, so that dismissing a notice about cookies does not itself set one.

Clearing your browser's site data removes it, and the notice will reappear.

2.3

Nothing else

No advertising cookie, no analytics cookie, no tag manager, no social widget, no session recorder, no fingerprinting and no third-party script that could set any of those.

The fonts on this site are served from the site itself rather than from a font network, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you did.

3

Controlling it yourself

Every browser can block or delete cookies. Blocking the session cookie means an account cannot stay signed in; everything on the public part of the site still works.

The Global Privacy Control signal is honoured here — see the Privacy Policy and Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.

4

If this ever changes

If a non-essential cookie is ever introduced, a genuine consent mechanism will be introduced at the same time, this page will be updated before it is set, and nothing non-essential will be set until consent is given.
